Colours of passion

Sometime ago a splash of red on the pristine white
turned the Cool blue breeze into a wild storm

Turmoils on the warm brown hearth gave way to sprouting purple wings to paradise
Unyielding emotions ran riot yearning to sail towards the unknown

A flashing glimpse of strangeness, yet so familiar,
Promised to sweep away towards an enchanting island

Colours of vibrant hue speckled with exotic scents
gave way to a moment of sinful ecstasy

a gushing wave of guilt washed off the moment freezed on the horizon
and brought back to the pristine white ,
to the warm embrace of yore, to today and forever till eternity…

right from my heart

Apart from the blogathon that I have jumped into there is another very important issue (!) which has been circling inside my head for long and hold your breath, it is about getting hold of a good yeast (!!) So that I can venture into bread baking..which I had been longing to do  for so long.   This search for a good yeast has been going on for so long that I have tried at least 4 to 5 types of yeast till now, I brought a pack from kerala store in Delhi,  then when I went to Kerala I brought two packs from a bakery thinking that the kind of stuff they have at their shop, definitely they must be selling  good yeast and was excited about trying it out.. then I brought packs from different bakeries in  Delhi.. to cut a long story short... none.. yes... Love for lanterns...post no. 16

    Image courtesy : Internet.  M y love for lanterns stem from my childhood memories. Lanterns are an integral part of that memory because we lived in a house in a small town in Kerala, this place had no electricity at that time, but we never ever actually felt the lack of it.   The dim light of the rustic lantern which we kept on the ‘poomukham’ (or raised verandah in English) shall remain fresh in my memory forever. We studied under that light, we prayed and played pranks on each other under that light.   Those lanterns and the luminous light emanating from it was witness to some of  the bestest years of my life.   These are some images which I heart, including the header of my blog,  also I have a small collection of miniature lanterns with me.    This mini post is dedicated to my love for lanterns.
